2011 Tom Roehl Round-Ball Classic
ALL ISLAND ALUMNI TOURNAMENT
This year will be the first attempt at an all Island Alumni Tournament. Will are working with a partner to help with the organization and registration. Please be patient while we work through any bugs or hiccups that come up.
The Tournament will be on Sunday, December 26th, from 10am-6pm, at the Coupeville High School Gymnasium
Here are the general rules, info about the event and the link to register your team:
1) You are free to contact your friends, buddies and classmates and form your own team. If you register as a TEAM, you are guaranteed to play with them throughout the tournament. You may also register as an individual and will be placed on a team closest to your graduation year.
2) At least 3/4 of your team roster must be players who graduated from one of the Island high schools. If your cousin is in town for the holidays and went to a school somewhere else they are welcome to jump onto your team, but please include some notes on where they went to school and the year they graduated. This event is meant to be an opportunity to play with friends and to see old classmates, not see who can find the most ex-NBA players to win the tournament.
3) Teams will be placed in a bracket based on the overall age of their players. These brackets will be determined in a way that best splits into even numbered brackets.
4) Teams will be guaranteed 4 games, three in a seeding bracket and one in a single elimination tournament. Depending on the number of teams signed up, the seeding round will be in the morning until about 12, then a lunch break for an hour with the tournament starting at 1:30pm. Assuming we have enough teams pre-register, we will have a schedule out the week before the event, thus allowing teams to show up closer to their game times.

5) We anticipate games being 20 minutes running clock, stopping only for free throws in the last 30 seconds (this may change depending on the number of teams that register). Games will be refereed; better then they were last year. We will follow all National Federation High School rules, if you need a refresher you can find them here.
6) Remember this is a family environment and there will be many kids, parents, and grandparents in the gym. Swearing, violence, or behavior that is uncalled for will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave, NO EXCEPTIONS!!
We are asking for a donation to the Tom Roehl Memorial Scholarship in order to play. Teams that register before Dec 11th will only be asked to donate $125 as a team. Teams that register on Dec 11th or later will be asked to donate $150.
Individuals wishing to play are asked to donate $15.
Donations can be made online (preferred) immediately after registering, or at the door on the day of the event. Please let us know if you intend to donate at the event.
